A 10-Minute Evening Reset Routine
Sunward Path
Sunward Path
You do not need a long ritual to shift the tone of an evening.
Ten minutes can be enough to help your body and thoughts understand that the day is beginning to close.
Minute 1 to 2: clear one surface
Reset a tiny area like a nightstand, desk edge, or sink space. A visible signal of order can soften mental noise.
Minute 3 to 4: dim the pace
Turn off one bright overhead light. Put your phone farther away than usual. Let the room tell your nervous system that it can slow down.
Minute 5 to 7: write a short check-in
Use three lines:
- Today felt...
- I am still carrying...
- Tonight I want more of...
Minute 8 to 10: close with one kind action
Choose one:
- make tea
- stretch your neck and shoulders
- wash your face slowly
- set out tomorrow's notebook
Small rituals count. Repetition matters more than intensity.
